FeWeR life insurance claims are resulting in payouts, figures reveal. The percentage of successful claims for term life insurance fell from 98 pc in 2017 to 97.4 pc in 2018, the Association of British Insurers revealed. An ABI spokesman says: ‘With such a high volume of claims being paid, tiny decimal point shifts are to be expected.’
