From red carpet to the East End

DURING her last wardrobe clear- out, actress Anna Friel donated rails of designer gowns worth tens of thousands of pounds to five east London charity shops — Cancer Research UK, Oxfam, Scope, Marie Curie and Barnardo’s.

Items included the red cocktail dress she wore to the Bafta awards in 2002 (left). She also gave away a collection of Roberto Cavalli dresses, Gucci skirts and Versace tops. Pop along now and you can find a Chloe bag for £65 in Oxfam, and Jimmy Choo shoes in Scope.
