£5m of drugs sent to OAPs in post mix-up
AN elderly couple signed for a parcel that was delivered to their home by mistake containing 44lb of methamphetamine worth £5.3million.
The unnamed pensioners in Melbourne, Australia, called police when they discovered bags containing the highly addictive class-A powder.
At another house police found more drugs. A 30-yearold man has been charged with narcotics offences.
Acting senior sergeant Matthew Kershaw said: ‘That’s 800,000 hits off the street.’
