‘Fine parents for swearing’

PARENTS who swear at teachers should be fined £100, the former head of Ofsted has said.

Sir Michael Wilshaw said some heads were being driven out of their jobs by abuse, taking positions at private schools abroad.

‘If you are abusive more than once to a head teacher, you should be fined,’ he told The Sunday Times. ‘Head teachers should be able to say, enough is enough.’

He also called for £100 fines for missing parents’ evenings.
