UNITED DON’T VALUE NEW FIGURES
THERE was considerable amusement among some of the top brass at Manchester United when they read the widelypublished results of a study that claimed they had been overtaken by Manchester City as the Premier League’s most valuable club.
The research, by a group at the University of Liverpool, valued City at £2.364billion and United at £2.087bn — figures they say were due to ‘higher wages and lower profit’ on the red side of the city. An industry insider told
