Lennon hails Rodgers
CELTIC’S interim boss Neil Lennon paid tribute to his predecessor Brendan Rodgers after his side wrapped up an eighth successive Scottish Premiership title. Lennon’s team clinched the title with a 3-0 victory at Aberden on Saturday. Headers from Mikael Lustig and Jozo Simunovic kept them in control before Odsonne Edouard put the icing on the cake. Lennon highlighted the contribution of Rodgers, who left for Leicester in February. ‘We have to pay tribute to Brendan,’ he said. ‘A lot of credit has to go to him for this title success and the foundations he built here. I was lucky enough to carry it on.’ Celtic are on course for a ‘treble treble’ in Scotland.
