Best wishes pour in for new parents – but silence from Trump
CONGRATULATIONS flooded in for the new parents last night.
Former US First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted: ‘Barack and I are so thrilled for both of you and can’t wait to meet him.’
Prince Andrew wrote on Instagram: ‘Congratulations on the safe delivery of your baby boy!’
Harry’s uncle Earl Spencer said: ‘Really very lovely news – many, many congratulations! (Good to have another Taurean in the family.)’
The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, who married the couple, wrote: ‘May God bless the new family with love, health and happiness.’
Bishop Michael Curry, who gave a rousing sermon about love at the royal wedding, tweeted: ‘Congratulations and prayers of blessing for them and their baby.’
Patrick Adams, Meghan’s TV co-star, said: ‘Much love to him and his incredible parents.’
Prime Minister Theresa May tweeted: ‘Congratulations. Wishing you all the best at this happy time.’
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said: ‘Congratulations to Meghan and Harry. I hope they’re all doing well.’
However, Donald Trump, who is usually a prolific tweeter, failed to send congratulations — despite the royal baby being a citizen of the United States.
