THE story about playing I-spy reminded me of a game we played many years ago to stop the grandchildren being bored on our long car journeys. On her turn, one of my granddaughters said ‘something beginning with GBP’. The answer had to be something inside the car. We looked everywhere in the car — on the floor, under the car mats, etc — for something with those initials. Nobody could come up with an answer. When asked to reveal the solution, my granddaughter replied: ‘Grandad’s Bald Patch!’ After a moment of silence, the car erupted in laughter. Even I couldn’t help laughing!
