SPORTING’S FERNANDES ON CITY HIT-LIST AT £47m

MANCHESTER CITY have held talks over a £47million deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, 24, which could see Marlos Moreno head in the opposite direction. Attacking midfielder Bruno has scored 31 goals this season and provided 16 assists. He scored a 14 minute hat-trick in Sporting’s 8-1 thrashing of Belenenses on Sunday. Manchester United have also considered him but City are thought to be in pole position. Colombian winger Moreno, 22, was signed by City in 2016 from Atletico Nacional but has yet to make a first-team appearance.
