INVESTORS slammed on the brakes at Surface Transforms, as it warned of delays on work with other manufacturers.

The carbon ceramic brake disc business said it was ‘frustrated’ its compensation claim against one manufacturer was not yet concluded. Around £250,000 due from that claim will now fall in 2020.

Another £200,000 relating to an aerospace contract, due to fall in 2020, will now be removed as financing discussions are ongoing. Shares slid by 23.1pc, or 3p, to 10p.
