WHO’S THAT PASSENGER?

Madonna goes under cover at the airport

HER fans are used to seeing her wearing as little as possible on stage and in her videos. But Madonna decided to cover up for a flight in the United States, wearing a long black scarf over her head and face in an attempt to go incognito. Suddenly rather camera shy – only weeks after promoting her new single in risque bodysuit and fishnet tights in London – the 60year-old pop star managed to cover every inch. Attracting even more attention than usual thanks to her bizarre ensemble, she also wore a pair of large reflective sunglasses on top of the head scarf, black tracksuit bottoms and a large black padded jacket. As she reached security at JFK airport in New York, Madonna was forced to remove all of her outer layers to show that underneath it all she was wearing a simple grey T-shirt. The singer, who has six children – Lourdes, 22, Rocco, 18, David and Mercy, both 13, and Esther and Stella, both six – recently revealed that she wouldn’t be giving the younger ones a mobile phone any time soon.

‘I’m going to stick that one out for as long as possible, because I made a mistake when I gave my older children phones when they were 13,’ she told Vogue.

‘It ended my relationship with them, really. Not completely, but it became a very, very big part of their lives. They became too inundated with imagery and started to compare themselves to other people and that’s really bad for self-growth.’
