Today’s poem

- Sheila Webb, Chesham, Bucks.

STARSTRUCK

Of course she looks immaculate,

Of course she’s looking great.

Her legs are toned, her cheeks well-boned,

And chauffeured — so never late.

Her hair shines to perfection,

Her pumped-up lips do, too,

And she wouldn’t be seen in a pair of Crocs —

Nothing less than a Jimmy Choo.

She has a Norland Nanny As she nips off to the gym, And all her needs are catered for

So her waist will stay wasp-thin.

She’s pampered and she’s fussed around

Everywhere she goes, And the school run is something, trust me,

Of which she’ll never know.

She’s the actress or the singer

Who takes us all by storm,

But no wonder she’s immaculate —

She’s so far from the norm.

But would I like to be her?

Be her if I could?

The answer’s here in black and white: YOU BET YOUR LIFE I WOULD!
