STOCK WATCH
SHARES were rising in waste gas-to-energy firm Eqtec as it moved one step closer to building a new power plant in Billingham, County Durham.
It signed off on negotiations with Spanish infrastructure builder Cobra and Teesside haulage and recycling firm Scott Bros, which has agreed to help develop the plant.
The project aims to process some 200,000 tonnes per year of fuel derived from household waste.
Shares in Eqtec climbed 26.3pc, or 0.21p, to 1.01p.
