BLUES LOOK TO MOVE AS NEW BRIDGE COSTS SOAR
CHELSEA could move away from Stamford Bridge as costs on plans to redevelop the ground continue to spiral. Developers have been looking at alternative sites which, according to New Civil
Engineer magazine, could save the club £500million. It is understood Chelsea bosses are open to the idea of exploring other locations. Costs for the Stamford Bridge project have hit £1billion and, as things stand, there are no plans to continue with the development, with a club spokesperson saying it is ‘completely on hold’.
