NUNO: WE ARE COMING TO COMPETE

- By LAURIE WHITWELL

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO says Wolves are ready to wreck any chance Liverpool have of winning the Premier League. Liverpool must beat Wolves to have a hope of pipping Manchester City to the title but Wolves want to end their own stellar season on a high. Wolves will finish seventh in their first season back in the top flight and have also beaten all four of England’s European finalists. Indeed, no side have earned more points against the top six than Wolves, with 16 from 11 games. Nuno won’t be doing anything differently at Anfield tomorrow. ‘We prepare ourselves for the game like we always did in these two years here,’ he said. ‘It’s the final game of the season and we want to compete. It’s an important game, a tough challenge. The players rise for every training session. ‘Of course it’s a big, big game and we want to play it.’ Nuno watched Liverpool’s comeback against Barcelona. ‘The Champions League this season is amazing. I’ve watched all the games,’ he said. ‘Liverpool-Barcelona and Tottenham-Ajax were fantastic games. Who doesn’t enjoy that?’
