HOW TO GET TO BAKU...

-

WHERE IS IT?

Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan. At 28 metres below sea level, it is the lowest-lying capital in the world.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

It is 2,800 miles away, so flying is the only sensible option. The cheapest return flights from London Heathrow to Baku, via a stopover in Istanbul, cost more than £1,130 and will take more than 20 hours. By car it should take about 58 hours.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

You need to be a night owl, as kick-off local time is 11pm. The 68,700capacity Olympic Stadium, opened in 2015, will also host three games at Euro 2020.
