Cocaine ‘joke’ shame of Strictly producer
A STRICTLY Come Dancing producer has been rebuked by the BBC after posting a photo which listed ‘champagne and cocaine’ as items to take on holiday.
Talent executive Stefania Aleksander was in a bar with friends when she posted the picture on social media. Friends said Miss Aleksander swiftly deleted the ‘tonguein-cheek’ picture about taking the class-A drug on a break to Ibiza but was left ‘mortified’.
The celebrity booker has faced anger from BBC executives. A source said: ‘Strictly bosses take this sort of thing extremely seriously. They’ve had very strong words to make it clear this is unacceptable.’
The BBC said no further action would be taken against Miss Aleksander, who posted the photo from a London bar. However, she was noticeably absent from a party of Strictly executives and stars seen enjoying themselves at the Bafta TV awards on Sunday night.
A close friend said: ‘Stef is completely mortified. Some friends had written a jokey list on a piece of paper and she didn’t notice this was on there before posting it. As soon as it was flagged to her, she took the post down as it’s clearly not something she’d ever endorse.’
It comes after Miss Aleksander caused controversy earlier this year when she posted photos of herself alongside former Strictly contestant Seann Walsh, 33. Miss Aleksander and the comedian were pictured enjoying an evening out together, leading to rumours they had ‘grown close’ during his time on the show.
He came under fire last year for kissing his married dancing partner Katya Jones on a drunken night out and was publicly dumped by his furious long-term girlfriend, actress Rebecca Humphries.
