MINA IN HOT WATER OVER BETTING ADVERT
THE FA are looking into Everton defender Yerry Mina’s appearance in a promotional advert for a betting company. It is against FA rules for players to be associated with advertising gambling on football and Mina’s video for Betjuego in his home country of Colombia has come to the attention of the authorities. As soon as Mina realised the video was not something he should be associated with, he immediately asked the company to take the advert down, which they did. The 24-year-old international joined Everton from Barcelona in a £28million deal last August but has managed only 15 appearances this season. A foot injury delayed his debut until November and he has been struggling to shake off a hamstring problem.
