County lines trio jailed for 12 years
A RUTHLESS county lines gang who enslaved children from care homes and units for expelled pupils were yesterday jailed for a total of 12 and a half years.
Dean Alford, 25, Michael Karemera, 25, and Glodi Wabelua, 25, preyed on at least 25 south London teenagers who were sent to peddle drugs in Portsmouth, detectives believe.
Judge Usha Karu yesterday jailed Alford for four years for human trafficking for exploitation. Wabelua was jailed for three-and-a-half-years for the same charge. Judge Karu handed Karemera consecutive jail terms of five years at Inner London Crown Court.
