Swansea want £2m to let Potter join Brighton

-

SWANSEA will hold out for £2million compensation as Brighton intensify their efforts to recruit manager Graham Potter. Sportsmail understands the Premier League club have so far had at least one approach rejected by Swansea, contrary to suggestions that Potter has already been granted permission to hold talks. There is a major temptation for Potter to make the move, particularly in light of the ongoing financial challenges at Swansea. It remains likely that Brighton will land the 43-year-old Englishman, but ÷ ANTOINE Griezmann has told Atletico Madrid he is leaving and Barcelona are set to sign the France star for £110million on July 1. Barcelona’s Champions League defeat by Liverpool triggered the move. Griezmann said: ‘These have been five incredible years, thanks a lot for everything. I will carry Atletico in my heart.’ A move to Barcelona would put Philippe Coutinho’s future in doubt. ÷ CAGLIARI will face no punishment from Serie A after their fans racially abused Moise Kean. The Juventus striker, 19, was subjected to monkey chants during his side’s 2-0 win on April 2, but the Italian league said chants had an ‘objectively limited relevance’. ÷ MANSFIELD have fired boss David Flitcroft after losing their League Two play-off semi-final to Newport. Academy chief John Dempster has replaced him.
