Garden war hots up

WHEN I did not know better, I used poison to get rid of snails, until one day a blackbird died in front of me on the lawn. After that, I tried different means and lost the battle every time.

A month ago, by mistake I bought a bottle of hot chilli sauce instead of my usual sweet and sour sauce.

It turned out to be too strong even for me, a chilli lover, so I thought that maybe it would be too strong for the snails as well.

I put a ring round the hostas and it worked.

I must buy another bottle because the sauce seems to have lost its effect: yesterday, I found two snails munching my plants.
