Fit over 50 with glucosamine

-

JANE Paterson-Todd, aged 55, enjoys keeping fit. She has always been determined to look after her heart health and wellbeing.

However, on reaching her 50s, she found that friends expected her to slow down and limit the exercise regime that she loves.

‘It annoyed me that other people’s expectations changed when I hit the menopause, and they assumed I would not be able to continue to train as I used to.

‘ My view is that women can continue to do things that they enjoy, whether that be sport, gardening, or simply going for a walk in the park. They just need to adapt.’

Her determination to maintain her active lifestyle led her to a Cambridge supplement company and its triple-action glucosamine supplement.

This two- a- day glucosamine tablet also contains turmeric and vitamin C for extra benefits.

‘I was lucky to be recommended the three-in-one glucosamine supplement by a friend a couple of years ago and I really did see the difference after just two weeks.

‘As well as being a busy CEO, I have been competing in triathlons. After a really hard session at the gym, I often had to take a painkiller just to stay active, but since I have been taking the supplement, I hardly ever have to take painkillers and feel in good health generally.

‘ I’m aware that not everyone wants to be a triathlete, but my message to other women is that you shouldn’t be put off doing things that you enjoy, just because you may find it more difficult. We should all embrace the different stages of our life and adapt to those changes in a positive way.

‘Staying active and continuing to enjoy what you have always done is good, not just for physical wellbeing but for mental health, too.’
