Boot for bad boys
A RECORD number of chief executives were fired for bad behaviour last year amid the #MeToo backlash over sexism.
A survey of the 2,500 biggest firms found 17.5pc of them – about 440 – got a new boss in 2018, an all-time high.
Of this group, 39pc of chiefs who were forced out had left due to allegations of unethical behaviour, such as fraud, bribery and sexual misdemeanours, accountant PwC found.
It came as a string of bosses were criticised for their treatment of women.
Only 4.9pc of new bosses were female, down from a record 6pc in 2017.
