Kate’s fallen out of fashion at the local
AFTER marrying Prince William at Westminster Abbey, all sorts of tributes came the way of the former Kate Middleton — including the renaming of a hostelry in Hammersmith, West London, which became ‘The Duchess of Cambridge’ in her honour. But just eight years later, that accolade has all but disappeared: the gastro-pub now styles itself ‘The Duchess W6’. A local royalist voices his sympathy. ‘It seems a bit sad for Kate that she has fallen out of pub fashion so swiftly,’ he says. ‘At least there’s still the “Duchess of Cambridge” in Windsor, where she can go to drown her sorrows when next staying with her in-laws.’
