GOALKEEPER Maddie Hinch, whose penalty shootout heroics helped Team GB win the women’s hockey gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, is set to play for Great Britain again. The 30-year-old has not featured since last summer’s World Cup in London when England lost to champions Holland. She said she took time away ‘to recharge, mentally and physically’. Hinch, who has 133 caps for Great Britain and England, could play against Germany on June 7.

FORMULA ONE wants to go back to Africa, with the Moroccan city of Marrakesh and South Africa’s Kyalami circuit keen to host a race, commercial, managing director Sean Bratches said yesterday. Rwanda and Nigeria have also expressed interest in fan festivals on their territory.

CASTLEFORD Tigers became the latest Betfred Super League side to punish ailing Leeds Rhinos with a 30-8 victory at Headingley last night.
