Jailed, patient sex attack GP

A PREDAToRY doctor who spent two decades molesting patients as young as 12 was jailed for ten years yesterday.

Alan Tutin, 71, groped five teenagers and ten women at the Merrow Park Practice in Guildford, Surrey, where his wife Angela also worked. Between 1981 and late 2004, the father of four sexually assaulted patients aged between 12 and 46 in consultations, where he made them strip off for unnecessary intimate examinations. He also watched pornography and called sex hotlines at work.

Judge Nigel Peters QC handed Tutin, pictured, ten-and-a-half years for 15 indecent assaults. He told London’s old Bailey: ‘There cannot be a more serious abuse of trust that these courts have to deal with than that of a doctor and a patient.’
