Fund backs Woodford
CRYSTAL Amber has thrown its weight behind beleaguered fund manager neil Woodford.
The City investment fund, known for taking activist positions at companies such as banknote maker De La rue and chocolate shop Thorntons, is starting to rebuild a stake in Woodford’s stock market-listed Patient Capital Trust.
Since the trust launched in 2015, quickly raising a massive £800m of savers’ money, its value has slipped by almost 8pc.
richard Bernstein, who runs Crystal Amber, told the Mail: ‘neil has guts. he backs people and companies.’
