The £60 bikini with one teeny f law... you can’t wear it in water!

- By Xantha Leatham

AFTER a few hours of poolside sunbathing, there’s nothing better than jumping into the water to cool off.

But holidaymakers wearing this bikini will be in for a bit of a surprise – as they watch the water around them turn an astonishing shade of teal.

It turns out that the £60 sequinned set, from online retailer Pretty Little Thing, is for ‘ poolside posing only’.

The design flaw came to light after a customer realised blue dye started to ‘run everywhere’ when she placed the bikini in water. The shopper, known only as Alisha, captioned the picture: ‘Be cautious when buying SWIMwear from @ OfficialPLT this summer because it’s only for “poolside posing” and they’ll still charge you £60 a set, absolutely laughable.’

The 22-year-old from Swansea was given a refund, and 40 per cent off her next purchase.

A spokesman for the retailer said: ‘Pretty Little Thing does advise customers on the styles which we do not recommend be worn for swimming.’
