BREXIT BLAMED FOR FUND FREEZE

THE co-founder of Show Racism The Red Card has claimed that the organisation were forced to cut five staff members due to a government cash shortfall. Ged Grebby (right) said: ‘Show Racism The Red Card have just had 10 months without government funding. It was because of Brexit I think, the shambles of them not knowing what to do.’ Grebby says the charity has had an apology and new funding deals have been agreed with the Home Office and the Communities department. A Government spokesperson said: ‘We fully support Show Racism the Red Card and its efforts to tackle prejudice and extremism, which is why we’ve backed the charity with almost £175,000 since 2016.’
