LEYTON ORIENT missed out on the non-league double as AFC Fylde made amends for their Wembley play- of f heartache.

Not since Wycombe in 1993 have a side won the National League and the FA Trophy in the same campaign. Justin Edinburgh’s Orient had their sights on history, but Fylde’s Danny Rowe curled in a beautiful free-kick on the hour.

Edinburgh said: ‘The players are hurting, but they have to take a lot of credit for the season they have had.’
