i Was getting dressed to go out for lunch when my threeyear-old granddaughter, evie, came into the bedroom. ‘What are you doing, Nana?’ ‘i’m getting ready to go out.’ she plonked herself beside me to watch me apply the last of my make-up. ‘there, all finished, do i look pretty?’ i asked. evie stood up and, hands on hips, looked me up and down. ‘Not yet,’ she replied, and toddled out of the room. i obviously need more help!
