RAB HAVLIN

is set to ride unbeaten Calyx in the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock on Saturday for trainer John Gosden, with stable jockey Frankie Dettori required to partner Too Darn Hot in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. Havlin rode Calyx when he made his debut at Newmarket last June prior to winning at Royal Ascot.

PRIVATE SECRETARY, the Sandown handicap winner Gosden is considering running in the Derby, goes in the Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood tomorrow.

DEE EX BEE heads a trio of Mark Johnstontrained runners in tonight’s Henry II Stakes at Sandown. Both Double Trigger (1995) and Royal Rebel (2001, 2002) ran in the race before winning the Ascot Gold Cup.
