TOTTENHAM have launched a £10million move for exciting Leeds winger Jack Clarke. The Champions League finalists hope to head off the competitio­n with an early bid for the 18-year-old. Clarke, voted the club’s Young Player of the Year, is 6ft 2in and can play on either flank. Tottenham also want Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham and hold an interest in Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

OXFORD have completed the signing of Sam Allardyce — the 18-year-old grandson and namesake of the former England manager. Little Big Sam is a centre half like his grandfathe­r. He began his career at Manchester United’s academy before moving through the ranks at Bury. ÷ CHRIS HUGHTON has expressed disappoint­ment at his sacking by Brighton. The south coast club fired their popular boss after he won just three of his final 23 league games and finished 17th, two points clear of the bottom three. Hughton, 60, said: ‘I was hugely disappoint­ed and surprised, by the decision.’ He could make a swift return to management as he is in the frame for the West Brom job.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND have signed Eden Hazard’s younger brother Thorgan from Borussia Monchengla­dbach for £30m. Dortmund have also signed Germany winger Julian Brandt from Leverkusen.

LEICESTER CITY are interested in Luton Town’s highly-rated full-back James Justin. The 21-year-old has one year left on his contract and Luton want around £5m for him.
