ICC AMNESTY PLAN TO CATCH MORE FIXERS

-

THE ICC will consider a worldwide amnesty for players and officials who previously failed to report corrupt approaches after the success of the strategy in Sri Lanka this year. Eleven people came forward in a 15-day January window, leading to a spate of charges, a team analyst among them. ‘There are more cases in the pipeline,’ said Alex Marshall of the ICC’s anti-corruption unit. ‘It was successful, we got quite a lot of new information. If (corruptors) are seen at the grounds, they’ll be thrown out.’
