Trump’s Huawei offer

THE US could lift sanctions on Huawei as part of a trade deal between the two countries, President Trump has said.

The US president dangled the offer despite also warning the Chinese telecoms firm was ‘very dangerous’.

His comments came days after Washington ramped up pressure in its trade war with China, blacklisting Huawei and introducing tariffs on hundreds of billions of pounds of goods.

Trump said: ‘Huawei is something that’s very dangerous.’

But despite this criticism, he said: ‘It’s possible that Huawei even would be included in some kind of a trade deal.’
