TRUE-LIFE DRAMA When They See Us, Netflix

IN 1989, five teenagers in New York — four black, one Hispanic — were convicted of a rape they didn’t commit, and 25 years would pass until their names were cleared. This four-part dramatisat­ion of the case of the Central Park Five is acted with a rare power, and the heartbreak of the parents in the opening episode as they see the injustice unfolding is terrible to watch.

FUNNY FANTASY Good Omens,, Amazon Prime

AN ADAPTATION of Terry Pratchett’s story was the author’s dying wish, and his co-writer, Neil Gaiman, has done a fine job bringing it to TV, with no expense spared. David Tennant and Michael Sheen (pictured) are well-cast as the demon and angel conspiring to stop the apocalypse in a grand, funny and multistran­ded drama that draws tighter as it goes on.

LEGAL GENIUS Bull, 10pm, Fox

THIS U.S. drama has an impressive variety of cases. Last week, jury expert Dr Bull was called in to help the ‘good’ son of a Mafia boss; now, he’s in court to help a guard who left a flooding prison to save his family; the storm killed two inmates. What follows is a tangled affair that twists beyond first impression­s.
