It’s Wimbledon doubles ... but not as we know it!

THESE striking twins may look the same – but in the eyes of serious tennis fans there’s only one to watch as Wimbledon gets under way today.

Karolina Pliskova has been tipped to triumph in SW19 after she effortlessly vanquished the reigning champion at the Eastbourne warm-up tournament last week.

And she looks equally confident off court as she is on it as she poses topless with her identical twin Kristyna – who is also competing in the championship. The 27-year-old tennis sisters – who share a room while on tour – are unlikely to meet during the two-week tournament unless they both make it to the finals.

While the Czech twins are identical, right-hander Karolina is ranked No 3 in the world while her left-handed sister – older by two minutes but an inch shorter at 6ft – is ranked at No 95.

Karolina is going into Wimbledon in the best possible fashion after powering past the defending champion Angelique Kerber in straight sets to win her second title at Eastbourne.

Kristyna meanwhile can take some encouragement from her victory over her sister at the Nature Valley Classic in Birmingham last month – her first win over a top five player.

Speaking of her chances at Wimbledon, Karolina said: ‘I just need to be 100 per cent. I want to fight for every match. I feel like I’m playing well. So if I can mentally be there and be focused I think there is big chance that I go far.’

Karolina will start her Wimbledon campaign today against China’s Zhu Lin, while her sister will play her opening round match on Tuesday against Slovenia’s Kaja Juvan.
