At school, she formed an abusive relationship with a new music teacher, which lasted nearly seven years. CALIFORNIA STORY Big Little Lies, 9pm, Sky Atlantic AS SEASON two continues, things are starting to fall apart for the Monterey Five and often in surprising ways. There was a prime example of that last week during the speech that Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) gave at the school, and the fallout continues here at a children’s party. UNDER SIEGE Waco, 9pm, Alibi THIS new, six-part drama about the Waco siege in 1993 has a good cast, including Michael Shannon as an FBI negotiator and Taylor Kitsch as the charismatic cult leader David Koresh. Kitsch (pictured) is particularly good here, because he makes you understand why people wanted to follow Koresh, even if the script isn’t what it should be. LAW MAKER On The Basis Of Sex, BT TV/Virgin Movies FELICITY JONES shines in this inspiring and accessible biopic of the Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which zeroes in on the case with which ‘RBG’ changed gender equality in the U.S. BIRD BRAIN My Wild Animal Baby, 10pm, More4 THE last in this endearing series introduces us to Alex the African grey parrot, bought from a Chicago pet shop by Dr Irene Pepperberg in the Seventies. Dr Irene spent 30 years teaching Alex how to talk — not how to copy — and the results were incredible, but their story
is not without sadness.
