Naomi’s first-class hygiene routine . . . for every flight
SHE’S probably not the first person to take her seat aboard a flight and worry about the germs left behind by previous passengers.
But Naomi Campbell goes to rather extreme lengths to ensure she doesn’t pick up any of those lurking bugs.
The supermodel, 49, has shared a photo of herself wearing latex gloves, a surgical mask and sunglasses on board a flight to Japan while clutching a large pack of anti-bacterial wipes.
Her elaborate routine involves disinfecting her tray table, armrests and TV screen before take- off and putting a new cover over her first class seat. The model buys a seat cover at the airport every time she flies and has them handwashed at her destination.
She says she protects herself from germs by wearing a white surgical mask and by making sure that she never touches anything directly unless it has been disinfected first.
Miss Campbell gave fans an insight into her flight routine, admitting that she doesn’t care what other passengers think of it.
‘ I love travelling, I was born travelling,’ she said. ‘This is what I do on every plane I get on. It’s my health, and it makes me feel better.
‘No matter what plane you take, private or commercial, as the plane descends people start coughing and sneezing,’ she said. ‘So this is my protection. As much as I travel, I should get so much more sick with colds and stuff and I’m blessed that I don’t. And I really think that this helps me.’
The model said that she always carries a ‘hydration pack’, which contains face masks and wipes to ‘clean everything you touch’.
