India Hicks bids faithful furry friend goodbye

now, though, she is contending with real heartbreak — her beloved dog, Samson, has died. india, who is the granddaughter of Lord Mountbatten and lives in the Bahamas with her partner, David Flint Wood and their five children, penned a tribute to the Bahamian stray.

‘Today Samson left us,’ she wrote on instagram. ‘His heart stopped beating, under the shade of a poinciana tree with all of us there together, as my son Felix held him in his arms one last time.’ india revealed the family adopted the pooch 11 years ago.

‘Felix, David and i went in search of a stray puppy to adopt. Felix found him, sheltering under a wooden shack. With a little encouragement he crept forward enough for Felix to lift him out and up into his arms.’
