TSB crash report delay
THE new boss of TSB admitted she has no idea when a report into its IT meltdown last year will be ready – and sought to blame the bank’s lawyers.
Slaughter And May was commissioned to investigate the disaster after a new system left customers locked out of accounts and sparked an unprecedented wave of fraud as criminals took advantage. The review was launched by TSB’s former boss Paul Pester before he lost his job over the scandal.
Debbie Crosbie, who took over in May, refused to say when the report will be published, dismissing calls with the words: ‘That will be out when it’s out.’
