EXPERT VERDICT: ‘Markets itself as vegan and free from gluten, egg and nuts. Dark chocolate should be vegan — there shouldn’t be any milk or eggs by definition. And makers are not allowed to put gluten in chocolate, apart from added extras, such as wafers or crispy “puffs”. Nutritionally it’s similar to other dark chocolates — labelling it “vegan” doesn’t make it healthier.’

TASTE TEST: Tasty, but with rather an oily texture.
