MICKEY ARTHUR NATIONALIT­Y: South Africa. AGE: 51. MOST RECENT JOB: Pakistan head coach (2016-19).

n Highly experience­d Arthur has been head coach of South Africa (2005-10), Australia (2010-13) and Pakistan. Was sacked by Australia ahead of the 2013 Ashes, but went on to guide Pakistan to a stunning victory in the 2017 Champions Trophy. Left his role as Pakistan coach last month after his contract wasn’t renewed.

MIKE HESSON NATIONALIT­Y: New Zealand AGE: 44.

MOST RECENT JOB: New Zealand head coach (2012-18).

n The longest-serving coach in New Zealand’s history, Hesson left his role in June 2018 to spend more time with his family. He guided the Black Caps to the 2015 Cricket World Cup final and led the team to a record 13-match winning streak across all formats in 2017-18.

CHRIS SILVERWOOD NATIONALIT­Y: England. AGE: 44. MOST RECENT JOB: England bowling coach (2017-). n As a Yorkshire paceman, Silverwood (below) played six Tests for England between 1996 and 2002. Ended playing career at Middlesex in 2009 and became Essex’s head coach in 2016. He immediatel­y guided them to promotion, before taking them to their first County Championsh­ip title in 25 years in 2017. Appointed England’s bowling coach in October 2017.

GRAHAM FORD NATIONALIT­Y: South Africa. AGE: 58. MOST RECENT JOB: Ireland head coach (2017-).

n Head coach of Sri Lanka from January 2012 to 2014, then again from January 2016 to June 2017. In between these two spells he was head coach at Surrey. He took charge of Ireland’s historic first Test in May 2018 and was in charge as they bowled England out for 85 at Lord’s in the Test match two months ago.

OTTIS GIBSON NATIONALIT­Y: Barbados. AGE: 50.

MOST RECENT JOB: South Africa head coach (2017-19).

n Gibson has twice worked as England’s bowling coach, firstly between 2007 and 2010 and then from 2015 to 2017. In between this he was head coach of his native West Indies for four years. He took charge of South Africa in 2017 but was sacked last month.
