Judge’s verdict on farmer’s wife as he jails her and lover for murder
A MOTHER of four was jailed for 22 years yesterday for the murder of her millionaire husband.
Angela Taylor, 53, had promised William, 69, she would end their estrangement if he gave her half his estate.
Yet it was all part of a plot to kill him with the help of her lover, Paul Cannon, a 54-year-old farmhand.
Mr Taylor’s body was found eight months after he vanished from his £1.2million farmhouse.
His wife and Cannon had shared thousands of pornographic WhatsApp messages fantasising about how to torture and maim him. They wrote of wanting to have sex in the farmer’s blood.

He said the primary reason for the killing in June last year may have been that Taylor loathed her husband – and father of her four children – and ‘felt she could never be rid of him’.
Just days before his 70th birthday he disappeared from his home near the village of Gosmore in Hertfordshire. A fisherman found his skeletal remains on a riverbank close to his estranged wife’s house.
