HOW I agree with the need to tackle the selfie scourge (Letters).
My visits to the Van Gogh exhibition at Tate Britain and Tutankhamun at the Saatchi Gallery in London were spoiled by people taking photos of the exhibits. The galleries are crowded and you have to queue to see each display or painting.
I didn’t appreciate having to wait longer while other people took selfies in front of the exhibits. Why don’t
they buy the guide or catalogue of professional photos taken in perfect lighting?
Galleries should have a ‘no photo’ policy for exhibitions.
