ROBSON HAS SECOND HIP OP TO SAVE CAREER

FORMER Wimbledon junior champion Laura Robson has had a second hip operation to keep her career alive. The 25-year-old left-hander, who made the world’s top 30 as a teenager, has not been able to play since April because months of rehab work have been unsuccessful. Robson, whose career was first blighted by wrist problems, says she is hoping to ‘try to fix the pain for good’, adding she ‘very much hopes to be back on court soon’ although in the best-case scenario that would not be until well into next year.
