IT’S the ultimate treat for any Downton Abbey fan – getting a behind-the-scenes trip to Highclere Castle, the iconic setting for the hugely successful TV series and film. And thanks to Just Go! Holidays, it is now a reality. Highclere will be opening its doors exclusively for Downton devotees and history buffs alike on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Home to the Carnarvon family since 1679, the Berkshire pile is one of England’s most stunning country estates, set amid 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland. The impressive drawing and dining rooms form the backdrop to Downton, and fans can embrace their inner Dowager Countess while there. Outside, the distinctive gardens and spectacular parkland, designed by Capability Brown, are a delight to explore. The castle also has a gift shop, a gin bar, featuring its own Highclere distilled liquor, and a traditional tea room, meaning you’ll feel like a distinguished guest in no time. This unforgettable short break provides the perfect opportunity for fans to walk in the footsteps of their favourite characters, as well as gaining a behind-the-scenes insight into this world-famous phenomenon.

The tour departs on Friday, July 10, 2020 and also includes return coach travel from a nationwide network of pickup locations, and an overnight stay at a selected three- or four-star hotel with dinner and breakfast.
