LONG before he set to work on the bizarre movie version of Cats, Tom Hooper directed this handsome 2008 biopic about the prominent American Revolutionary. Paul Giamatti is superb as Adams in an expertly crafted seven-parter that begins a repeat run here.
L.A. COPS The Rookie, 9pm, Sky Witness
NATHAN FILLION (pictured) returns as John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD, for season two of this nicely balanced U.S. drama. The city is still under terrorist threat in an episode that gets off to an actionpacked start, and also reveals the rookies’ long-awaited training scores.

SURVIVAL thriller starring Hermione Corfield as a college student who becomes stranded in the woods in Kentucky, where she has to fend off ruthless outlaws.

THE Love Island narrator hosts a new series of the raucous game show, in which celebrities compete with the public in various challenges based on the stars’ perceived special talents.
