- By George Odling Crime Reporter

A BARRISTER was caught up in a mass brawl in an Old Bailey court yesterday as five rappers were jailed for murder.

Oliver Glasgow QC jumped in to restrain a man who vaulted over the rail of the public gallery when the defendants and supporters began attacking police and prison guards.

The aggressor yelled ‘I will murder you’ to prosecutor Mr Glasgow as officers tried to bring them under control. One guard was left with a bloodied head. The QC insisted he was unhurt and told onlookers: ‘I am fine.’

BBC journalist Steve Swann tweeted: ‘Appalling scenes of violence at the Old Bailey with prison staff and police under attack in the dock and public gallery after sentencing in a gangland murder.’ The five young men were being sentenced for stabbing to death Kamali Gabbidon-Lynck, 19, in Wood Green, north London, at a hairdressers in February last year.

Friend Jason Fraser, 20, was stabbed eight times and shot once but survived.

Tyrell Graham, 18, and Sheareem Cookhorn, 21, were found guilty of killing Kamali and the attempted murder of Mr Fraser last month. They were sentenced to life with Cookhorn to serve a minimum of 28 years and Graham 25 years. Jayden O’NeilCrichlow, Shane Lyons and Ojay Hamilton, all 17, were also convicted of murder and received 21 years each.

The killing was carried out in front of a four-year-old. The offenders were linked to the Tottenham gang NPK and bragged about it in a drill rap video afterwards.

A spokesman for the City of London Police confirmed a number of people had to be ejected from the Old Bailey yesterday.
