THe owner of an exclusive london casino is being investigated over possible links to organised crime.
australian gaming giant Crown resorts, which owns Crown aspinalls in Mayfair, is accused of using agents with links to triad gangs to lure customers from China, where gambling is banned.
Its biggest shareholder is billionaire James Packer, 52.
He and Crown resorts deny allegations of criminal activity – claims being investigated by authorities in New South Wales, where public hearings began yesterday.
according to reports last year, Crown casinos were used to launder money.
Crown has said it is cooperating and has hit out at a ‘deceitful campaign’ against its image.
